Hi all,
If you have a Kleinbetchkerek Familienbuch, I would be so appreciative if you would look for the Deschu family.  I didn’t even know there was a book for this village.  Thank you ahead of time.

Kleinjetscha RC Church Registries

Tibor Tóth

Dear list members,

I am pleased to inform you that my collection grew with more Roman Catholic church books from Banat.

Now I recommend to you the following registers from Kleinjetscha (in Hungarian: Kisjécsa, today: Iecea Mică, Romania) which are a real rarity because they are not found on either Family Search or on Ancestry or on other genealogical sites.

Kleinjetscha Baptisms 1876-1922: 236 files, 1.1 GB data
Kleinjetscha Matrimonies 1894-1922: 86 files, 360 MB data
Kleinjetscha Burials 1894-1922: 72 files, 310 MB data

This is a total of 394 high quality photos and the amount of data is about 1.7 GB. I send you here attached some sample pictures. And of course I'm at your disposal to interpret and read the entries in Hungarian.

If you are interested in any of the mentioned church registers and if you can contribute with a modest amount to my expenses (via PayPal transfer), please write a private message to my email address ( lemilpromo@... ) and we will discuss the details.

FYI: I will also be able to purchase additional Banat church registers from the same source in the future. Among others, I hope I will obtain the church registers of the following settlements from Banat: Nitzkydorf, Josefsdorf, Marienfeld, Grabatz, Billed, Liebling, Bruckenau, Orczydorf, etc. As soon as this happens, I will send a notification to the list.

Thank you for your attention, have a nice weekend!

Best regards,

Tibor

Albrechtsflor RC Church Registries

Tibor Tóth

Dear list members,

as many of you certainly know, among the Roman Catholic church registries from Albrechtsflor (or Kleinteremin, in Hungarian: Kis Teremia, today Teremia Mică in Banat, Romania), the Family Search homepage contains some registers, but unfortunately only until 1848 (for the baptisms) and until 1862 (for the burials).

I have good news to those whose ancestors lived in Albrechtsflor/Banat.

The last week I managed to buy the following Roman Catholic registers from a genealogist in Timisoara.

Albrechtsflor Baptisms 1848-1919: 438 files, 1.7 GB data
Albrechtsflor Burials 1863-1915: 261 files, 660 MB data

This is a total of 699 high quality photos and the amount of data is about 2.4 GB.

I will also be able to purchase additional Banat church registers from the same source in the future.

Lynn,

The CD would not be useful.

The CD covers the years 1769-1865.  Franz would be too young to marry before 1866.

Christina's birth is not on the CD either.  There are MENING families on the CD. Only one Christina born in 1782.

Flo, the docs I have are:

— New York Passenger List entry for Antal Wagner, line 21 in the linked image on this page: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JJYQ-PY4

This document gives his last residence as “Tumsvar” (Temeswar), father’s name as Heinrich (where he came from), brother’s name as Franz (where he was going in St. Louis. (Sorry, I was looking at the wrong thing when I mentioned his mother’s name in my previous message, so her name may not be Maria.)

— Declaration of Intention (also attached below): https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/28050985?h=d7bbcb

This document says he was born in Chabas, Hungary (?) and last resided in “Chakowa, Hungary.”

I don’t *think* I'm mixing two people together here, because it would be quite a coincidence to have two men named Anton/Antal Wagner, both born in 1892 and arriving in the US in July 1912… but I’m open to suggestions. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Can someone please check if the Tschakowa FB has a listing for Anton WAGNER, born 10 Aug 1892, mother's name possibly Maria? I'm trying to get past some conflicting and badly spelled place names on a passenger list entry and a US Declaration of Intention to apply for citizenship.

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,

maybe you want to share the two documents or links to them, so we all
can put our heads to together?

Kind regards
Flo

Hello Linda,

I checked the RC baptismal church book from Tschakowa in the indicated
period, but in August 1892 no child named Anton WAGNER was born or
baptised in Tschakowa. Moreover, no local WAGNER family had children
this month. At least according to the church book.

Greetings,

Tibor

Re: Warjasch / Varias Lookup please

Betty Wagner

Thanks for the tip David. Lovrin is actually one of my main villages and I have information from the actual churchbooks. I am trying to flush out the correct Peter Burger and Katharina Schneider. There are two Peter Burger's and three Katharina Schneider's born in that time frame. I'm trying to follow the path of the godparents and witnesses to each of their marriages.

Thanks
Betty Wagner

If someone has the Warjasch/Varias Familienbuch I would appreciate a family lookup for the following:

Peter BURGER - born in Varias ~1818

married to a Catharina SCHNEIDER - I believe she was born ~1818 in Lovrin

Thank you

Re: Pancsova records 1901-1902?

Crystal Fortwangler

Hi all!

Thanks again to everyone who helped me with my earlier query. I’m hoping Someone could guide me on birth or census records that exist for Pancsova for the years 1901-1903. I am trying to find a child Mariska / Mauska (later Mary in US) who was a year or so old when she came to US (see ship records below). Her mother was Zsusanna Dolnics but it is unclear who the father was. The city listed as where they lived before leaving Hungary was Pancsova. They came on a ship to go to Zsusanna’s brother.  The child is in the 1910 US census as an 8 year old named Mary Gross (as Zsusanna married John Gross once she arrived in US.)

I have found some records for Pancsova but not for those years. I would love to find them there - and who the father is!

Thanks in advance.
