Dear list members,

I am pleased to inform you that my collection grew with more Roman Catholic church books from Banat.

Now I recommend to you the following registers from Kleinjetscha (in Hungarian: Kisjécsa, today: Iecea Mică, Romania) which are a real rarity because they are not found on either Family Search or on Ancestry or on other genealogical sites.

Kleinjetscha Baptisms 1876-1922: 236 files, 1.1 GB data
Kleinjetscha Matrimonies 1894-1922: 86 files, 360 MB data
Kleinjetscha Burials 1894-1922: 72 files, 310 MB data

This is a total of 394 high quality photos and the amount of data is about 1.7 GB. I send you here attached some sample pictures. And of course I'm at your disposal to interpret and read the entries in Hungarian.

If you are interested in any of the mentioned church registers and if you can contribute with a modest amount to my expenses (via PayPal transfer), please write a private message to my email address ( lemilpromo@... ) and we will discuss the details.

FYI: I will also be able to purchase additional Banat church registers from the same source in the future. Among others, I hope I will obtain the church registers of the following settlements from Banat: Nitzkydorf, Josefsdorf, Marienfeld, Grabatz, Billed, Liebling, Bruckenau, Orczydorf, etc. As soon as this happens, I will send a notification to the list.

Thank you for your attention, have a nice weekend!

Best regards,

Tibor

Hello Michele,

Maria Anna Caecilia HALM was born in Ostern, on 22nd November 1800. Her father was Christopr HALM, her mother's name was Barbara (no family name for Barbara). The godparents were Michael KRON and his wife Maria.

Hi Cathy,

Would you mind looking at the GROSS entires again to see if there is an Anna GROSS.  Would have been born around 1800, most likely after. I've been stuck trying to find info on her for a year, a bit of wishful thinking on my end.

Thanks,

Stephen

There are some free downloads of pdf documents regarding Ellis Island / Steerage on the immigrant ships / tickets etc that you might find interesting. There were even some pics of the ships my relatives travelled on in the first decade of the 1900’s.

Dear list members,

I'm starting my investigations about my origin, I'm the granddaughter of Franz Merc, who, according to the blue text below, emigrated to Brazil in December 1923 from the port of Hamburg and he was originally from Kovin in Yugoslavia. My grandfather said he was from Banat, someone with that family name. He must have been born in 1889.

Thank You for you attention,

Deutsch-Zerne and Tomsdorf Confirmation lists

Tibor Tóth

Dear list members,

I’m sure many of you have noticed that there are some vital records from Deutsch-Zerne on the Family Search genealogy page. Perhaps not everyone knows that there are some pages in these that contains the participants name list on the Deutsch-Zerne confirmations.

As I have seen that several list members are interested in this settlement, I have downloaded these lists from there, I clarified, enlarged and organized them and now I'll make them available for download to you.

All you need to know about 19th century Banat village confirmations is that since only a bishop could do this, the confirmations took place once every 7-10 years in a village. I hope many of you will be able to find names on the lists that belongs to your ancestors.

The four confirmation list links are as follows:

Deutsch-Zerne Confirmations 1837 (25 files): https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZ8LAzZUsWKwrUb24HSywQY6kJ13mitWKRk

Deutsch-Zerne Confirmations 1845 (14 files): https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZWLAzZVT2Iu8JdOHjKhRTDpFShm5SpDmHy

Deutsch-Zerne Confirmations 1855 (35 files): https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZeLAzZdiLQjW8RIuJN0m07kOjvGfRuSWUX

Deutsch-Zerne and Tomsdorf Confirmations 1864 (31 files): https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZ9LAzZwqJ3NeOyrVSOkf5LBkuXLYoWtviy

Please download the folders before 18th May, 23:59:59 (UTC+2). After expiration I can't provide you the free download possibility.

Greetings an good luck,

Tibor

Lookup request – Kiltzer in “Auswanderungen aus Rheinpfalz und Saarland im 18. Jahrhundert – Werner Hacker”

Ron

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if anybody has access to the Werner Hacker book “Auswanderungen aus Rheinpfalz und Saarland im 18. Jahrhundert, Stuttgart. Konrad Theiss, 1987” – and could do a lookup for me.

Some of the Hacker books are microfilmed and available for browsing online via Familysearch, this particular one isn’t.

I’m interested if it contains  :

Johann Philipp Kiltzer born 14/3/1700 – emigrated to Hungary Banat (Jahrmarkt) - approx. 1748 from Ebschied , Hunsrück – possibly Simmern (Rhineland Pfalz).   (Kiltzer may also be spelled Kulzer or Koeltzer etc).

(its also possible that his last place of residence before emigrating was Fronhoffen (also Rhineland Pfalz) as that’s where his youngest children were born before going to Hungary).

If anyone has this book and can have a look it is much appreciated 😊

Ron

Hi all,

If someone has the Ostern Familienbuch, I would appreciate a look-up for the following surnames:
  • Gross
  • Haas
  • Labin (variants Lavigne, Lavin)
  • Witt (variant Vitt)
Thanks,
Mark
