Dave Dreyer's Banaters in the VII Grenz Regiment Records - Final Draft September 2021 #Databases

Dave Dreyer’s VII Grenzland Introduction is a multi-year labor to assemble and transcribe the records of the VII Grenz Banater Regiment, which guarded the Banat Military Frontier. While Dave chose to describe this work as an introduction, his opus consists of 145 pages, with footnotes, definitions of the abbreviations used in the records and examples of the records and maps which augment the reader's journey exploring these extractions.

The reader can traverse the work on-line in a web browser, or the file can be downloaded as a PDF. There are links in the Table of Contents to each Section, so the reader can jump to that portion of the work. The reader can jump back to the Table of Contents by clicking on the footer of any page.

Herr Rudolph HUEPFL has made 2 corrections to the work -- On page 134 Abbreviations, I transposed Married and Unmarried definitions. There was also a typo: Widwe should be Witwe (translation Widow).

Where these terms were used in the body of the document, they were correct.

Many thanks for identifying the errors on the Abbreviations page. They have been corrected in the on-line document.

Another small correction David. In the email subject, the text of the announcement, and the url it refers to the VII regiment. However the document refers to the XII regiment.

Just a quick note... Tis is an excellent read! I would, however, not break the paragraph on page 8 and then continue on page 47. Perhaps this was just a formatting error?

Thanks so much for this awesome work!
