Luneville

Bonjour Daniel!

I hope this finds you well!  Instead of being in Luneville in June, I am touring national parks in Utah.  It's all wonderful, but I would have been much happier in Europe.  Now it appears that Americans will be banned from travel to Europe for awhile (perhaps retribution for Trump's ban on Europeans?).

I will write more when I have a better internet signal than I do out here in the wilderness.  I have been spending time tracking down relatives in my Wilhelm line, who may have originated from the area around Bitche, but of course all of the church records are at the city hall offices for all of the towns in that area!

Side note: have you ever run across the name Dallemagne in the Moselle?

Here's hoping we can sometime soon have that get together of Banaters from Lorraine...

A bientot,

Bill

It indicates there might be information about Michael Lazarus in the St Hubert book, but he isn’t listed in the book I have (Familenbuch St. Hubert – Charleville – Seultour). You and my husband are distantly related back through your Fraunhoffer lines though.

Let me know if I can help further. I have his tree in Ancestry under my username of shannonf314.

Thanks for the help. Why would the Lengenfelder not be in the book, Although in the church record he is listed as from Komlos, Arad which I thought was the same as Ostern, was I wrong?

Bonjour Bill,

Thanks for your good news.
I remember how much we enjoyed our journey in the Grand Canyon some 20 years ago. it's one of our best travel memories on a par with Easter Island, Bora-Bora and the Zambeze Falls.
Enjoy because time goes by so fast!

Yes, I know a big part of the DALLEMAGNE family as they are originated from Arracourt; it's true that some of them married ladies in the near Moselle area. Tell me what you are looking for and I'll do my best to be helpful.

A bientôt,

Daniel
